Why High Performance Coaching?
When I left teaching in 2017 to start my own business, I had no idea what I would do. I just knew that I needed to make a change.
There are minimal career progression pathways in education, and I'd reached a level of 'seniority' for want of a better word, but I knew what was left in career progression wasn't what I wanted to do.
So I left.
I have spent the past six years figuring out what was most important to me and what difference I wanted to make.
As my Intellectual Property evolved with my journey of self-discovery and awareness, I realised that you cannot logic your way to the top by seeking external knowledge and skill mastery to make your difference. At some point, you need to turn the mirror around and focus on yourself.
Here is a bit about what I have learnt on the way through.
1. We seek external skill development to improve our career potential.
Please don't misunderstand me. This is important.
However, if it is all we do, we will never reach our full potential or even realise what is possible.
I searched for solutions to help me further my career and business.
I successfully implemented what I was learning, but I always felt like puzzle pieces were missing. I wanted to do better; there had to be a better way.
I soon realised I was looking for the answers in the wrong places.
2. Focus Forward on The Four For Further Success
Achieving real change requires a multifaceted approach that goes beyond skill development. It’s crucial to focus on self, social interactions, and service alongside skill development.
Many people are unaware of how to address these additional areas.
Traditional coaching methods often focus on specific actions around a goal, providing accountability, but they lack a comprehensive approach and often get stuck coaching the problem, not the person.
This narrow focus offers short-term relief that, over the long term, can leave individuals feeling stuck, unable to identify and overcome the deeper, underlying challenges that hinder their progress. Without a holistic strategy that addresses multiple areas of their lives, they may find themselves repeatedly hitting the same obstacles, feeling frustrated and unfulfilled, as they continuously seek answers in the wrong places.
This was my experience.
High-Performance Group Coaching Offers A Solution.
High-performance coaching (HPC) addresses this gap by examining the habits and mindsets of successful individuals and how they maintain high performance without sacrificing their relationships or well-being.
The research behind this coaching identifies six key habits: seeking clarity, generating energy, demonstrating courage, increasing productivity, developing influence, and raising necessity.
These habits are underpinned by pillars such as clear purpose, psychology, physiology, productivity, people, and presence.
Together, they form a comprehensive framework to create powerful and lasting transformations by balancing skill development with personal growth, social connections, and service contributions.
High performance involves integrating all these elements to elevate overall performance and ensure continuous, sustainable progress—no more ups and downs, just a steady upward projection.
Going through the High-Performance Coaching Program had such a positive impact. It was the missing piece of the puzzle regarding the difference I wanted to make in my business, so I decided to get certified as a High-Performance Coach. Along with my ACC Accreditation with the International Coaching Federation, it makes for a powerful cocktail for supporting transformation.
I have a High-Performance Group Coaching Cohort starting at the beginning of August, and I would love for you to be part of that cohort!
