Phew! - you’ve made it…
As term two draws to a close on another term like no other, I wish you a wonderful restful break.
I invite you to take a moment to take a deep and restorative breath and access all that you have achieved over this last term. It might not be all that you hoped, and if that is the case, then it is even more important to celebrate the small wins you did have.
At the end of each term, I pause and take a moment to reflect on all that I have achieved across the term. I am always surprised about the things I have done that have gone forgotten or even unseen
Here’s what surfaced for me as I reflected on Term Two of 2022.
What did I learn about myself?
I am always excited to watch the growth and leadership transformation my Coaching Intelligence Training enables for leaders. I have worked in numerous wonderful schools with an incredible bunch of leaders and have enjoyed watching the growth and change our work has created for everyone.
My desire to grow a Kaitiaki Culture of Leadership alongside leaders in NZ Education is becoming a reality with every hour of delivery.
Here is one piece of feedback I received just last week from a leader who is participating in the Coaching Intelligence Training.
“What I am learning with Tabitha has changed the way I approach conversations with my peers, colleagues and even my family. The skills I am learning here have already had a massive impact on not only my confidence in approaching conversations but also the outcomes from these conversations. I am excited to finally be on a PD that has genuine meaning to my teaching and work life.”

“This course has been an excellent balance of content, experience and feedback, creating a space to grow and improve my coaching skills. What I love is that I have been able to apply this learning to various personal and professional situations.
The different frameworks provided in this course have helped me think about things differently and to reflect on how other people learn. I have used the frameworks to reflect on how I can support my team and enable them to think about their learning in ways that are not pushing forward an agenda. I love that I am helping them create more knowledge. It is super helpful to know different ways of doing that. I really enjoy Tabitha’s coaching workshops. Her facilitation style is always so engaging and thought-provoking.”

Action Plan for Term Three
What are you going to stop doing?
This last term has seen every moment of my week filled with delivery. While that may be considered a good thing, there are many other things involved in running your own business that needs my attention.
What are you going to start doing?
I will create space for other business-orientated foci to balance better the aspects of leading your own business.
I also want to create a space for my mindful practice that incorporates time for daily meditation practice. Mindfulness is part of what I teach and needs to be a central part of what I do.
What are you going to do differently?
I will approach how I create space for research, creativity and writing as I move to make supporting resources for leaders around a kaitiaki culture of leadership.
I would love to hear about what surfaces for you as you do this exercise if you are happy to share.
Go well and I will see you rested and recuperated in Term Three.
